The thought of taking CPR and learning how to use an AED for the first time or again after a long time can be intimidating.
What if I fail? What if I get a grouchy instructor? What if I can’t remember all the steps in the right order?
For some, the thought of taking a CPR class is so stressful that they just don’t take it at all. It doesn’t have to be that way.
For Healthcare Providers, we tend to put off renewing our BLS or ACLS cards until the last minute and then what? We can’t work until we find a class that works with our schedule. Missing work because of an expired BLS or ACLS card can be costly.

Early and effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can significantly increase the chances of survival for someone experiencing cardiac arrest.
According to the American Heart Association (AHA), CPR can double or triple a person's chance of survival, especially if it's administered immediately after cardiac arrest.
Another study found that survival rates increased to 40% or higher when bystander CPR was performed promptly.

Questions
Q- How can I find out where the class is being held for a particular date?
A- When you go to the “AHA Classes” page on this web site to choose which class you’d like to take, you will see the address of the class underneath the featured picture. (see below example) If there are any changes in the location, the instructor will notify you.
Q- Why do I have to have a book or e-book to take your class? Can I buy the book from you?
A- Because I teach under the American Heart Association and deliver their content I am required to adhere to their rules. It is in their policy that all students have either a paper manual or an e-book manual for the class they are taking.
At this time I do not carry stock of all the AHA manuals. You may purchase a paper book or e-book from the American Heart Website called “ShopCPR”.
Q- What if I’m sick the morning of class and can’t make it. Can I still get my money back?
A- If you need to cancel for any reason and there is less than 24 hours remaining before the class start time you will receive a 50% refund. Understand that we book and pay for classroom space according to how many students are signed up at the 24 hour mark. You must call or text me as soon as you know you cannot come. No call, no shows receive no refund.
Q- I need a paper card instead of a digital card do you offer those?
A- I teach for the American Heart Association and they have gone completely away from paper cards in recent years. The only cards I can provide are digital cards delivered to your email.
Q- I sustained an injury recently that might keep me from doing chest compressions. Can I still take the class and pretend to do the chest compressions?
A- No. To pass you on the skills check portion of class I need to see you compress the chest of the manikin at the appropriate depth and rate. Wait till you’re all healed up and then come see me!
